TNPWC SUCCESS STORIES

After serving 10 years in a central prison, Ramalingam participated in the pre-release counselling sessions provided by TNPWC. With continuous support from a clinical psychologist post-release, Ramalingam successfully secured employment in a local manufacturing unit and has been able to rebuild his relationship with his family. His story exemplifies how tailored counselling can empower released prisoners to lead dignified, productive lives.

Struggling with mental health challenges during incarceration, Salim was connected to a clinical psychologist through TNPWC’s empanelled services. His mental well-being improved significantly, and with support, he enrolled in a skill development course post-release. Today, Salim works as a skilled technician and actively participates in peer counselling groups for released prisoners.
